Watch: AC/DC: The Making Of “Shot In The Dark” Video Behind The Scenes Footage!

November 4, 2020

Don’t you just love going behind-the-scenes? AC/DC just released some footage from the making of the official music video for their new single, “Shot In The Dark”!

“Shot In The Dark” is one of twelve new songs on AC/DC’s new album “Power Up” (due out November 13). The follow-up album to 2014’s “Rock Or Bust” features Brian Johnson (vocals), Phil Rudd (drums), Cliff Williams (bass), Angus Young (guitar) and Stevie Young (guitar).

Angus told Rolling Stone magazine, “It’s got that great AC/DC vibe about it, great swagger, and a good AC/DC rock and roll chant. The title is a little bit cheeky because we all like a little nip [of alcohol] in the night or a few shots in the dark. I was very glad when the record company heard it [that] they felt it was a very strong song and should be the first one that people hear.”

“Power Up” was recorded in just six weeks between August and September 2018 at Warehouse Studios in Vancouver. Producer Brendan O’Brien worked on the album (he also did 2008’s “Black Ice” and 2014’s “Rock Or Bust”).

The plan was to release the album earlier in 2020 but COVID made the band reconsider, Angus explained, “We were hoping to get the album out before all this happened. They were getting ideas together for packaging and video promo things. And then that virus thing came along. It kind of put everyone on hold.”

“Power Up” track listing:

01. Realize
02. Rejection
03. Shot In The Dark
04. Through The Mists Of Time
05. Kick You When You’re Down
06. Witch’s Spell

08. Wild Reputation
09. No Man’s Land
