If you haven’t heard about Silk Sonic yet, let’s get you up to speed. It’s a new band formed by Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak. They released their collaborative album ‘An Evening With Silk Sonic’ on November 12 and recently played ‘Fly As Me’ and ‘Smokin’ Out The Window’ at the BET Soul Train Awards!
The band opened this year’s Soul Train Awards at the Apollo Theater in New York. Maybe you caught their performance at last week’s American Music Awards, too. They made their live debut at the 2021 Grammys.
Meanwhile, Anderson .Paak launched his record label, APESHIT INC. earlier this month (an imprint of UMG) and says he’ll focus on working with “a new generation of artists, who can play while performing.”
