November 4, 2021

If you follow the NHL, chances are you’ll know retired centre Dave Scatchard. He played in the bigs for 14 years; with the Canucks, the Islanders, the Bruins, the Coyotes, the Predators & the Blues.

Scatchard was born in Hinton, AB and grew up in Salmon Arm, B.C.

He called it a day, retiring from the NHL, taking to his Twitter account in August 2011 to announce the news. His fifth concussion left him with slurred speech, headaches – brain injuries. With help from top coaches, healers, and energy workers, Dave has transformed himself into a best-selling author!

We talked to Scatchard about locker room pranks, BBQ’ing with Nickelback, binge watching Ozark & Succession, getting advice from Tim Hunter, seeing the Beach Boys in concert, meeting Snoop Dogg, living in small town Salmon Arm, playing for The New York Islanders and The Vancouver Canucks, the influence of KISS and Led Zeppelin, realizing your true potential, family and lots more!
