Scorpions Working On A New Album!

April 29, 2020

Great news Scorpions fans! Singer Klaus Meine was recently interview by fan site Scorpion News and told them they’re hoping to release a new album in 2021!

Asked about recording his own vocal tracks (due to being isolated during COVID-19), he said, “It’s a lot of fun. I really enjoy it. I’ve been recording sessions myself before, but this time it’s different because we can’t be in one room together. There’s no interactions, really, and working with a producer or working with an engineer, where you go, ‘I need my voice a little more up. I need a little more high end on the vocals’ — or whatever it is. And so it’s very different this time.

Scorpions’ last last full-length album with new songs was 2015’s “Return To Forever” (even though some weren’t “new” but rather songs they’ve had since the ’80s). This was also longtime drummer James Kottak final recording, who was fired from the band in September 2016 and replace by former Motörhead drummer Mikkey Dee.

What should Scorpions call their new album?
