Sammy Hagar Is Planning Las Vegas Residency!

March 11, 2020

Did you hear about this? Sammy Hagar recently did an interview with the Las Vegas Review-Journal and told them he’s planning a Las Vegas residency this summer!

Tentatively, the residency will start in June at the “Celestia” tent inside the STRAT Hotel, Casino and SkyPod (formerly known as the Stratosphere). Sammy would then do one weekend per month with the same format he does at his infamous birthday bashes at his Cabo Wabo Cantina in Cabo San Lucas.

Hagar said, “I want to create the ultimate environment where I can throw the ultimate party, like I have done in Cabo for 30 years for my birthday, but at another time of year here in Las Vegas, which is really the party capital of the world,. I hate to put Cabo second to anything, but I feel in this case, it’s gotta take second place to Las Vegas.”

As you might expect, Hagar is bringing some of his friends to play – Rick Springfield, Billy Idol, Toby Keith, Kenny Chesney, Neal Schon & Vince Neil.

Meanwhile, Sammy Hagar & The Circle are doing a big summer U.S. tour with Whitesnake and Night Ranger. That starts July 9 in West Palm Beach, Florida and doesn’t stop ’til September 20 in Chula Vista, California.

Let’s keep in mind Hagar is 73 years old this year! Amazing, right?

I know, I know, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas – but I’m curious, what’s your favourite Vegas moment? I had my stag there (wearing a skin tight red spandex Mountie outfit complete with the hat and gumboots) and whatever debauchery you can think up likely isn’t coming close to what happened in those three glorious days.

Not braggin’, just sayin’.
