SAINT ASONIA Release New Single Featuring GODSMACK’s SULLY ERNA!
You could call Saint Asonia a ‘super group’. They’re comprised of original Three Days Grace singer Adam Gontier, Staind guitarist Mike Mushok, Art Of Dying bassist Cale Gontier and drummer Sal Giancarelli. And they’ve teamed up with Godsmack singer Sully Erna for their new single, “The Hunted”!
You can find “The Hunted” on Saint Asonia’s upcoming second album, “Flawed Design”, which is due out fall ’19. They recorded with Brian Sperber (Alter Bridge, Staind) in an upstate New York studio.
Gontier of the song, “‘The Hunted’ is a song about struggling to find your place in life. It’s a solid representation of the direction Saint Asonia is headed. I’m excited to share this with the world. And it’s an awesome bonus having Sully from Godsmack guesting on it.”
Saint Asonia released their self-titled debut in 2015. It charted Top 10 in Canada and entered the Billboard U.S. Rock Albums chart at #2.
Check this out! Between the members of the band, when you consider their past bands, they collectively have 28 Top 10 U.S. rock radio hits, including 17 No. 1s!
Gontier added, “This new album is a giant step forward for us in many ways. Of course, there’s those elements that have always been present in the music, like the heavy riffs and the vulnerability within the lyrics. But there’s also a completely new element that takes things to a different level. Our goal is to raise the bar on every record, so we’re incorporating a lot of different sounds and instruments on this one. For me, this is the best stuff I’ve written since 2005. I guess you’ll have to hear it to judge for yourself.”
Do you think Adam Gontier (and co.) will find the same success with this band as they had with their past bands?
