QOTSA working on gold

June 13, 2017

The next Queens Of The Stone Age album is in the works and has been for a few months now. And now their website has changed to reflect that it’s probably not far off anymore.

The video above appears on the QOTSA official website, which has been re-worked to heavily feature artwork from artist Boneface (who provided the artwork for 2013’s …Like Clockwork.)

The video supplies a simple, haunting melody with the words Gold repeated.

QOTSA’s new website now resembles a small retro television with nine channels. As of this writing, only channel one works, but the album was apparently completed in April according to some reports, so more channels may be added very soon.

EDIT : Another channel has been added, this time with a hilarious skit from the band that features the new single! We now know that Mark Ronson produced the new album, titled “Villians,” and the new song’s been titled “Feet Don’t Fail Me.”

EDIT : And now we have some new material! The first single dropped today (June 15th) and the album has a release date! August 25th you can pick up the full album, Villains, but for now here’s “The Way You Used To.”
