Primus Reschedule Their Rush Tribute Tour. Again.

July 2, 2020

I believe this is the third time Primus has had to reschedule their RUSH tribute tour, where they’ll play A Farewell to Kings in its entirety. Now, it’s happening summer of 2021.

This tour was supposed to originally happening in the fall of 2019 but got pushed to the spring of 2020 when Slayer asked Primus to open their farewell tour.

Then, COVID-19 made the May 2020 kick off not happen.

Now, assuming the world has a grip on the coronavirus, the Tribute to Kings Tour starts June 9th, 2021 and runs thru August 20th, 2021. All dates are below.

Primus’ Les Claypool said, “This time I will get to go out there and get my ‘Geddy on. I’ve got my Ricky shined up and have been practicing my Moog licks. 2020 has proven to be one nasty kick to the crotch on many levels. This nation is divided beyond anything I’ve ever seen; from who’s wearing masks or not to who’s treating folks with common dignity … or not. Let’s hope 2021 will resolve us all into some form of unity. As far as touring, it will be nice to be back in the saddle again, see y’all next summer … ’Geddy up!’”
