This is interesting – considering Motley Crue has said they wanted to use unknowns to play themselves in their upcoming biopic.

Variety is reporting that Colson Baker, better known as Machine Gun Kelly has been cast to play drummer Tommy Lee in Netflix’s new Motley Crue biopic.

This movie has been in development since 2006 with “Jackass” director Jeff Tremaine set to direct a script written by Rich Wilkes and Tom Kapinos. Motley Crue band members are co-producing.

You’ve seen Machine Gun Kelly act in Cameron Crowe’s “Roadies” and in the movie “Nerve”.
