More Details On Ronnie James Dio’s ‘Rainbow In The Dark’ Autobiography!

June 23, 2021

You don’t have to wait much longer for Ronnie James Dio’s autobiography “Rainbow In The Dark: The Autobiography”! Permuted Press (U.S./Canada) and Constable (U.K) are publishing the metal icon’s book on July 27.

Of course, Dio was once the voice of Elf, Rainbow and Black Sabbath.

Prior to his death, Dio (born in Portsmouth, New Hampshire and raised in an Italian-American family in the upstate New York town of Cortland) was writing the manuscript for this autobiography.

It’s said that the book is writing in a conversational style; showing how luck formed Rainbow, how a chance meeting with Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi made him the second singer in the band. Dio explains the meaning behind his “Devil Horns”, as something his grandma taught him would provide protection from the “evil eye”.

You can expect never before seen photographs from family photo albums and personal archives. Plus, an eight-page colour insert from Ronnie’s life and career.

Ronnie’s widow Wendy will be part of an hour-long event on Wednesday, July 28 beginning at 12pm PST.

This will be a great read. What’s your favourite autobiography?
