Did you get a chance to read Screaming Trees’ frontman Mark Lanegan’s 2020 grunge memoir? He recently announced a poetry book “sequel” called Leaving California. 

If you haven’t read Sing Backwards And Weep yet, do that first. It’s a very cool account of his time in the Seattle music scene in the ‘90s.

Heartworm Press will publish the 76 poem collection Leaving California on March 15th and calls the new book merges “the lines of harsh reality and paranoia, beauty and reflection, and the wisdom of the escape artist”.
