Journey To Headline Lollapalooza 2021
According to Journey guitarist Neal Schon, they’re headlining Chicago’s 2021 Lollapalooza festival.
A quick check of Lollapalooza’s website (they cancelled 2020’s event due to COVID) shows no mention of this year’s event.
Schon told SiriusXm’s Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk, “I’m dying to get on stage again” and suggested that the festival would be held in April (normally it’s in late July/early August), “We have our first date booked for Lollapalooza, and we’re headlining in Chicago. And that’s supposedly in April.”
“Hopefully that’ll not get pushed back, because the vaccine is finally here. And hopefully they start dispersing it very quickly so everybody can get back on their feet and can get out and hear music, ’cause that’s what heals the world, I think.”
There’s no word on which other bands are on the bill, “I have not seen the bill. All I know is that we’re headlining it. I can guarantee you that with the new blood in the band, when we get together for two weeks of rehearsal before that show, we will be the new alternative.”
Interesting, right?
What do you think about Journey headlining Lollapalooza?
