Is a Tesla Box Set Coming Soon?
Tesla bassist Brian Wheat was recently (Dec 9) a guest of LiveSigning promoting his upcoming autobiography, “Son Of A Milkman: My Crazy Life With Tesla” and said that the band has “tons” of unreleased material!
Wheat said, “We’ve been trying to put out a box set for several years. But there’s a question as to who has the ownership of it, whether is us or Universal. So we came close to trying to put something out for the 25th anniversary, which was gonna be a box set, and it kind of stalled. Now, when this COVID thing goes over, or whatever, we’ll maybe go back to them and try to come up with a deal that’s good for both parties — the band and [the label]. But yeah, there’s tons of stuff. There’s a whole box set, yeah. And it’s one of my personal missions — I want it to come out one day.”
Wheat’s 304 page hardcover book “Son Of A Milkman: My Crazy Life With Tesla” is being released on December 15.
Def Leppard singer Joe Elliott wrote the foreword of the book (which was co-written with award-winning journalist and author Chris Epting).
Tesla spent much of 2019 touring to support their latest album, “Shock”.
