Are you excited about all the such biopics popping up lately? Bohemian Rhapsody picked up an Oscar nomination. Mötley Crüe “The Dirt” movie hits Netflix March 22. And the Elton John “Rocketman” movie just released another trailer. And it looks awesome!
It’s pretty much perfect timing for the release of Rocketman (Elton John is currently doing a farewell world tour). You’ll be able to see it in theatre May 31 in North America.
Actor Taron Egerton plays Elton John and has described the movie as “the world’s first R-rated musical”. He told Collider, “Everyone thinks it’s a biopic. It isn’t. It’s a fantasy musical so it’s actually his songs used to express important beats in his life at emotional moments. He’s not the only character that sings. It’s going to be fun.”
