Dee Snider’s First Fictional Novel, ‘Frats’, Arriving This Spring

March 2, 2023

According to a post on his Twitter account, Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider‘s first fictional novel, “Frats”, is being release in “late spring”!

Snider wrote, “Guilty as charged. Just living my best life. A lot going on. Appearances on upcoming network TV Show; ‘Rock Meets Classic’ Germany tour in April; ‘FRATS’ novel released late spring; @Z2comics graphic novel next month; Release of ‘Me’ @OriginalFunko POP soon.”

You may remember that Snider was a guest of the Full Metal Jackie’s nationally syndicated radio show last month and said that “Frats” is “a ’70s period piece and coming-of-age story; it’s all about toxic masculinity and growing up in a very toxic environment and how it affects people.”

Snider previously described the book as “a period piece/coming of age story set on Long Island, NY in 1972/73 inspired by true event. No, it’s not my story.”

Snider isn’t new to writing books; “Dee Snider’s Teenage Survival Guide: Or How To Be A Legend In Your Own Lunch Time” was published back in 1987 and his official autobiography, “Shut Up And Give Me The Mic”, came out in 2012.
