Bill Cosby Sexual Assault Retrial
In total, nearly 60 women have accused Bill Cosby of sexual assault and misconduct. They can’t criminally charge him due to the statute of limitations.
However, Cosby will be back in the courtroom in April and five more women will testify against him. This is big news for prosecution, as they’ll now be able to establish Cosby as a serial predator with a pattern of drugging and assaulting women for decades.
The judge, Steven T. O’Neill, didn’t say why he was allowing more women to testify – only said that of the 5 women chosen, they come from the 8 most recently reported incidents.
Two women testified at Cosby’s trial in June 2017 and it ended in a hung jury after 52 hours of deliberation.
