Audio: Sammy Hagar & The Circle Play ‘Bad Case Of Loving You’ In The ‘Lockdown Sessions’
Nothin’ like a good cover song! Sammy Hagar and The Circle got together to record a version of “Bad Case of Loving You (Doctor, Doctor)”, a song from 1978 written and originally recorded by Moon Martin, and made famous a year later by Robert Palmer.
Sammy wrote on their YouTube channel, “I always loved this song written and recorded by Moon Martin, and taken to the top by the one and only Mr. Robert Palmer. As we continue our @ Home Sessions, we hope be able to bring it to you live in 2021 #FingersCrossed #DoctorOrders #TheCure #LiveRockAndRoll”.
The band’s “Lockdown Sessions” started in March 2020, with the band covering The Who’s “Won’t Get Fooled Again”, Bob Marley’s “Three Little Birds”, AC/DC’s “Whole Lotta Rosie” and more! Hagar says, “When we first start doing these lockdown sessions, it was only meant to stay in touch with the fans until we could get back out on the road again. But as the weeks and months drew on, it also became a fun way to keep the band together, musically and creatively.”
Man, sure do love a good cover song. Which is your all-time favourite?
