WATCH : Metallica fights fire with fire

May 15, 2017

Thrash metal gods Metallica are currently on their WorldWired tour, their first to promote an album sine 2008’s Death Magnetic. The website Ultimate Classic Rock has been detailing the bands setlist looking for anomalies and rarities, and they got one last night (May 14th) in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
Check out this fan-shot footage of Metallica playing the opening track off Ride The Lightning, “Fight Fire With Fire,” the first time it’s been played on North American soil in five years.

The WorldWired tour comes to Vancouver on August 14th. As Ultimate Classic Rock has noticed, the tour has been starting with the same three songs – opener “Hardwired,” followed by “Atlas, Rise!” and “For Whom The Bell Tolls.” Fans that are looking for the rare tracks on tour should pay attention to the tenth song of the night, which has been the part of Metallica’s set with the most changes.
