The song will be recorded this Saturday (November 15th), with One Direction, Ellie Goulding, Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith, Elbow and others also expected to attend. The single will be released on Monday (November 17th), with all proceeds going to benefit Ebola victims in Africa.

  • Bob Geldof and Midge Ure created the original Band Aid in 1985 to help Ethiopian poverty, releasing the charity single “Do They Know It’s Christmas?”
  • The song topped charts around the world and featured artists such as Bono, Paul McCartney and more.
  • The project was revived twice since then, for Band Aid 2 in 1989 and Band Aid 20 in 2004.
