Tremonti, the band led by Alter Bridge and Creed guitarist Mark Tremonti, has posted an online video tease of his second studio album.

The new disc is due out in early 2015 and will follow up Tremonti’s first effort, All I Was, which arrived in mid-2012.

Mark Tremonti also sings lead vocals in the band and explained how he got better as a vocalist the more he worked at it: “As I started pushing my voice, I started noticing that I could make myself not sound like my talking voice, and I could do things and manipulate my voice to sound a few different ways and make it dynamic. And you can’t really, you don’t really know what you can do until you start doing it. It was just fun, you know. I had a great time doing it.”

A listening party and live performance for the second Tremonti album will be held on January 31st, 2015 in Orlando, Florida.

  • Van Halen bassist Wolfgang Van Halen joined Tremonti’s solo band for touring purposes after Alter Bridge bassist Brian Marshall dropped off the project. Wolfgang has stuck around to play on the new record as well.
  • Tremonti’s other act, Alter Bridge, released its fourth album, called Fortress, last year.
