TIGER WOODS TAKING BREAK FROM COMPETITION
Tiger Woods said yesterday (February 11th) that he’s taking a break from competition, stating that his game is currently, quote, “not acceptable” and he’ll return when he thinks it is.
He added, “I do, however, expect to be playing again very soon.”
Woods’ announcement comes after he had to withdraw after 11 holes at Torrey Pines because of tightness in his back, and shot a career-high 82 in the second round of the Phoenix Open to miss the cut by 12 shots.
Woods is currently at Number 62 in the world, his worst ranking since before he won his first PGA Tour event in 1996.
