February 6, 2015

Tiger Woods pulled out of the Farmers Insurance Open in San Diego on Thursday (February 5th) because of back pain, the third time that’s happened in his last eight PGA Tour events.

Woods, who was competing in only his second event of the year, blamed the cool, foggy weather for the tightness in his lower back that forced him to quit after 11 holes at Torrey Pines.

Woods will now fall to his worst world ranking since before he won his first PGA Tour event as a 20-year-old in 1996.
