THE STROKES HINT AT NEW ALBUM IN 2015
The Strokes singer Julian Casablancas said that the band will record some new music in 2015 ‘if the vibe is right.’
In an interview with NME, Casablancas also talked about his new band The Voidz, who is launching a European tour with on December 7th in London.
Casablancas talks about the direction of a new The Strokes record, saying, “Less mystical. I think you have good work chemistry if you are just honest with each other and you just wanna do something good, and you just wanna put in all your magic, and create something cool with other people’s magic, with friends. I think ‘the vibe’ in the recent past was lost, but I think we learned how to work together better. More professionally. But now I think we’re looking to combine those things.”
The band members have even hung out “non-musically,” Casablancas reports. “I think we’ve turned a page. I think we have some magic left. But creatively, there’s magic in many different places for me right now.”
