TEXAS EBOLA NURSE PLANNING TO SUE HOSPITAL
The first of two Dallas nurses who were infected with Ebola after treating a patient who died of the disease is planning to sue Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital, saying she wasn’t properly trained.
Nina Pham also told the Dallas Morning News in a story published Sunday (March 1st) that the hospital invaded her privacy and that she was used by them for publicity purposes.
The 26-year-old Pham said the nurses received little guidance on how to protect themselves after Thomas Duncan was admitted with Ebola after contracting it in Liberia.
She also said that information about her was released after she was diagnosed with Ebola even though she was asked that she not be publicly identified, and she said she was videotaped speaking to a doctor and the video was released to the media without her permission.
Another nurse who treated Duncan, Amber Vinson, also became infected with Ebola and recovered.
