Slash and his band, Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators, have added more dates to the North American tour that will begin on April 25th in Orlando, Florida and wind down on May 24th in Dallas. The new shows include New Orleans on April 28th, Sioux City, Iowa on May 19th, Austin, Texas on May 21st and the Dallas gig.

This is the latest round of dates in support of Slash’s third solo studio effort, World On Fire, and it also includes stops at festivals like Welcome To RockvilleCarolina RebellionRise About Fest and Rock On The Range.

Slash and the band are currently playing a series of dates in Australia and New Zealand that ends on March 1st in Sydney. After that the band will hit South America for a month of shows in Chile, Argentina, Peru, Ecuador, Brazil and Mexico.

The latest single from World On Fire is “Bent To Fly.” Slash talks about the song’s connection to a fan of his named Heath who passed away at the age of 17: “There was a fan whose parents got in touch with me a few years back. Their son had terminal cancer and he was a big fan and I was friends with him up until he passed away, friends with him and his family, and they all live in Tampa. So we went out and did an acoustic set there recently and I invited them to come down. And so they heard ‘Bent To Fly’ for the first time and they automatically thought it was a song dedicated to Heath — which gave a whole different meaning to the song, which is something that’s really stuck with me since.”
