Red Hot Chili Peppers album update

February 24, 2016

Red Hot Chilli Peppers bassist Flea has said they are “heading into a new era” as they finish up work on their next studio album.

The Peppers are in-studio with producer Brian Burton, aka Danger Mouse, and have a series of tour dates and festival appearances booked for the summer.

Singer Anthony Kiedis recently said they were in the “home stretch” of finishing the album and now bassist Flea has spoken to “Q Magazine” and revealed further details.

“We’re near the end of it,” he says. “Danger Mouse is producing this time, instead of Rick Rubin. We’re heading into a new era and we’re really excited.”

Flea added, “It’s new and different but without sacrificing the good bits of us. There are some songs we already had, and some new ones too. I can’t wait to play it live.”
