Ozzy performs with Slash, Tom Morello and Geezer Butler at Voodoo Fest
Ozzy Osbourne was joined by guitarists Slash and Tom Morello for his headlining set at this years New Orleans’ Voodoo Fest!
Osbourne played a solo set on Saturday night (October 31) but was joined by special guests throughout the performance. Slash came out to perform Black Sabbath song ‘Children Of The Grave’ while Black Sabbath bassist Geezer Butler also appeared throughout the set.
Rage Against The Machine’s Morello played a bunch of songs. Check out fan filmed footage of ‘Bark At The Moon’ below.
Morello lifted his guitar to reveal an ‘Ozzy Rules’ sign on the back throughout his time on stage. He had written ‘Arm the Homeless’ on the front.
Morello described the opportunity to play with Osbourne as “a thrill”, telling Maxim, “My first-born son Rhoads Morello is named after the great [late Ozzy guitarist] Randy Rhoads… So being able to play with Ozzy on some of Randy’s songs is another check off the bucket list.”
Osbourne and Black Sabbath will tour in 2016 – but scrapped plans for a new album. Ozzy said he’s too old, “We were gonna do one [another album] before the tour, but it would take three or four years to write and record an album, by which time I’ll be fucking 73 or 72 or something, so we decided just to do a farewell tour.”
