The Red Hot Chili Peppers are supporting the publication of a new book called Red Hot Chili Peppers: Fandemonium, which is described as “a fan appreciation book from the band that puts the emphasis where it should be — on the fans.

RHCP bookChili Peppers singer Anthony Kiedis wrote an intro for the book in which he discusses the band’s connection with their fans from day one in 1983 and how that relationship has evolved over three decades.

Meanwhile, Kiedis also told an LA radio station on Monday morning that the Chili Peppers have written “about 30 songs” for their 11th studio album, which they’ll begin recording in December.

Kiedis said every record the Chili Peppers have released is special to the band in its own way, “I feel like every record we make is a milestone. Every record we make sums up where we’ve been and where we’re at when we make it. They all strike me as being very poignant indicators of who and what we are at that point in time.”

The last Chili Peppers album, I’m With You, came out in 2011 and marked Klinghoffer’s recording debut with the band after he replaced longtime guitarist John Frusciante.

The Chili Peppers were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012.
