NEW KID ROCK DEBUTS #2
Kid Rock’s new album “First Kiss” (his 10th studio album) sold 146,000 copies in the first week of release, good enough to debut at Number Two on the Billboard 200 album chart.
The new album follows up 2012’s Rebel Soul and has Rock producing himself at his home studio in Michigan.
Rock said he has little time for the business of the music industry these days: “In my older age, I’ve grown very impatient with a lot of things in this business. I don’t bitch about it, I just try to knock it out and get the work done where I have to. But you know, really at this point I just want to play music and put out records and play live and, you know, kind of cross my fingers that the people enjoy it.”
The title track from First Kiss is the album’s first single and is #18 on the rock radio chart.
