New Director for Freddie Mercury biopic

December 8, 2017

ICYMI some DRAMA on the set of the “Freddie Mercury” biopic – director Bryan Singer was fired on Monday (Dec 4), citing the director’s abrasive behavior (Singer allegedly threw an object at the film’s star, Rami Malek).

It should come as no surprise that there’s a new director for the biopic – Dexter Fletcher. You’ll know Fletcher from his work on last year’s Eddie the Eagle biopic. He’s also known for acting in Guy Ritchie’s Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and HBO’s Band of Brothers mini-series.

When Singer was fired, they only had about 2 weeks left of principal photography. So they’re close to being done and hoping to have it in theatre on December 25th, 2018!
