Names of three new ‘Star Wars’ planets revealed
The names of three new planets in the Star Wars universe have been revealed.
With less than a month until Star Wars: The Force Awakens hits cinemas, Empire have published a Lucasfilm star map which reveals the name and location of three new planets which fans will see in the upcoming movie.
Joining the desert planet of Jakku (which was already revealed) – new planets are Takodana, D’Qar and Hosnian Prime. Little is known of any of them, though Takodana is reported to be the setting for of one of the film’s major battle scenes. D’Qar is rumoured to be a resistance base while nothing is known of Hosnian Prime.
Empire’s map also points to the Starkiller Base, home of the First Order, located in the Unknown Regions.
Yesterday (November 26) saw a dark new teaser trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens has released online.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens opens in North American theatres December 18th. The Motion Picture Association of America gave the film a PG13 rating based on its “sci-fi action violence”, which makes it only the second Star Wars film not to be rated PG.
