MUSE’S MATT BELLAMY AND KATE HUDSON ARE OFFICIALLY OVER
Muse frontman Matthew Bellamy and actress Kate Hudson have called off their engagement and split up after three and a half years together, a rep for Hudson confirmed to People.com.
The former couple have a three-year-old son named Bingham. The rep said, “Kate and Matt have been separated for some time now. Despite this, they remain very close friends and committed co-parents.”
Rumors about the state of the Bellamy/Hudson relationship have been circulating for months, ever since it was reported last March that they had been going to couples therapy.
Bellamy and Muse are currently at work on their seventh studio album. Bassist Chris Wolstenholme said that major events in life, like having a child, definitely have an impact on Bellamy’s lyrics, “It’s things like that, the major changes that you go through, that kind of drastically change you as a person, you know. And I guess those are the things that are just easier to write about, ’cause they just feel more honest, you know.”
The new Muse album is due out sometime in 2015 and will follow up 2012’s The 2nd Law.
