Metallica: Late Late Show Residency

November 9, 2014

Starting November 17th, Metallica booked a week long residency on “The Late Late Show” with Craig Ferguson!

Craig will be replaced as host sometime in December by a British comedian named James Corden.

Metallica said they are doing the residency to honor the beloved host’s departure.

“What better way to celebrate Craig’s awesome tenure at CBS than to come and shake the rafters for a whole week,” drummer Lars Ulrich told Rolling Stone magazine.

The residency also coincides with the 10-year anniversary of the documentary about the band, “Some Kind of Monster,” which is being reissued on Nov. 24.

Ferguson has hosted the show for about a decade.

In April, Ferguson announced he would step down after CBS picked Stephen Colbert, and not him, to replace the retiring David Letterman.
