KERSHAW, KLUBER WIN CY YOUNG AWARD

The L.A. Dodgers’ Clayton Kershaw and Corey Kluber of the Cleveland Indians were named the winners of baseball’s Cy Young Award yesterday (November 12th).

Here are their stats:
Corey Kluber: 33 starts, 17-9, 2.54 ERA, 3 CG, 258 Ks, .235 BAA, 227.2 IP, 6.9 WAR.
Felix Hernandez: 33 starts, 14-6, 2.34 ERA, 0 CG, 241 Ks, .203 BAA, 230.2 IP, 6.4 WAR.

Clayton KershawKershaw was the unanimous choice of the Baseball Writers’ Association of America for the National League Pitching Award, after going 21-3 with a 1.77, and he could possibly win the MVP award as well.

Kluber edged out the Seattle Mariners’ Felix Hernandez for the award in the American League, after a 18-9 season that tied the AL lead for wins, with a 2.44 ERA.
