Jack White Talks Paramount Records Project
Jack White appeared on CBS This Morning: Saturday yesterday (November 29) to discuss the ongoing Paramount Records project undertaken by his label Third Man Records.
Established in 1917, Paramount Records was home to artists such as Louis Armstrong, Jelly Roll Morton, Ma Rainey, Fletcher Henderson, Blind Lemon Jefferson, King Oliver and Ethel Walters, among others.
Third Man and Revenant Records last year released a comprehensive 800-song anthology of music from Paramount’s first decade of existence called “The Rise and Fall of Paramount Records, Volume One (1917-27)” and recently followed it up with Volume Two which spans 1928-1932.
