Harrison Ford: would ‘love’ to make another ‘Indiana Jones’ movie

November 12, 2015

Harrison Ford has said he’d love to make another Indiana Jones movie.

In May 2015 – Lucasfilm’s president Kathleen Kennedy confirmed that a fifth Indiana Jones film is in the works, saying, “we haven’t started working on a script yet”. It was rumoured that Disney and Lucasfilm had Chris Pratt in mind for a re-boot. Pratt later said that starring as Indiana Jones would be an “awesome opportunity”.

However, the producer of all four Indiana Jones films, Frank Marshall, recently said, “there’s a bunch of people who could probably take the baton,” the film’s creative team would not be “doing the Bond thing where we’re going to call somebody else Indiana Jones”.

Asked by Entertainment Weekly if he is still interested in returning to the franchise, Harrison Ford said, “Oh, yeah. Yeah, I’d love to do another Indiana Jones. A character that has a history and a potential, kind of a rollicking good movie ride for the audience, Steven Spielberg as a director – what’s not to like?”

Harrison Ford last played Jones in 2008’s Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull, joined by Shia LaBeouf as his son Mutt. The film was a big hit at the box office, grossing over $780 million worldwide.
