GOOGLE CAMPAIGN RAISING MONEY TO FIGHT EBOLA

Google has launched a campaign to raise money to help fight Ebola in West Africa, pledged $10 million up front and matching $2 for every dollar people donate to various nonprofits, including Save the Children and Doctors without Borders.

The matched donations will be capped at $7.5 million. CEO Larry Page’s family foundation will be giving another $15 million.

In other responses from the tech industry, Bill Gates pledged $50 million and Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg donated $25 million.
