FOO FIGHTERS RELEASING RARITIES EP ON RECORD STORE DAY

Foo Fighters will release a 10-inch vinyl EP titled Songs From The Laundry Room on April 18th, Record Store Day.

According to Alternative Nation, side A will feature frontman Dave Grohl’s early demos of “Alone + Easy Target” and “Big Me,” while side B will contain a cover of Kim Wilde’s “Kids In America” and the previously unheard “Empty Handed.” A clip of “Kids In America” was heard on the HBO documentary series Sonic Highways.

  • The EP was recorded at Laundry Room Studio and produced by Barrett Jones, who co-produced the first Foo Fighters album with Grohl.
  • Grohl is this year’s Record Store Day Ambassador.
  • Among the other artists releasing rare and collectible items exclusively for sale in independent record shops on April 18th are Metallica, U2, Paul McCartney, Bruce Springsteen, Johnny Cash, Pearl Jam and many others.
  • Foo Fighters begin a massive North American tour in Washington D.C. on July 4th — the 20th anniversary of the release of the first Foo Fighters album.
