FOO FIGHTERS CANCEL SHOW AFTER ACCIDENT ON THE ROAD

A “serious accident” that wrecked equipment and injured a crew member caused the cancellation of Foo Fighters charity fundraiser in Auckland, New Zealand. According to a Facebook post fromFrontier Touring Company, “a truck carrying essential band equipment was involved in a serious accident.”

The driver of the truck is expected to be “okay,” the statement said and equipment is being flown in from Los Angeles for a show the following night that is still scheduled to go on. Tickets purchased will be refunded.

  • Last week, Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl was named the official 2015 ambassador for Record Store Day, making him the public face of the annual celebration of independent record shops.
  • Grohl follows in the footsteps of Chuck D and Jack White in the role and will release Songs From The Laundry Room, a 10-inch EP featuring previously unreleased Foo Fighters demos, covers, and songs, as part of the festivities on Record Store Day, April 18th.
