EXPERTS PREDICT 2015 WILL BE THE YEAR OF ANTI-TECH

December 17, 2014

How attached are you to technology? Experts predict 2015 will be the year when people stop using gadgets and social media, and instead embrace the simple life.

The prediction comes from London-based communications agency Hotwire in their sixth annual Digital Trends Report.

The report notes, “While there are many early adopters out there scrambling around to get their hands on the latest smartwatch or iPhone, there are a group of much cooler kids working out ways to kill tech altogether.”

Evidence of this? New data showing that the number of weekly U.K. web visitors to social networks has dropped 9 percent since this time last year, with the U.S., China, and Japan showing similar decreases.

Also, back in August a team of developers launched a Kickstarter campaign for the noPhone, a fake cell phone meant to wean people off of their addiction to technology.
