Ebola. Buy The Song. Stop The Virus.

November 17, 2014

The new version of ‘Do They Know It’s Christmas’ is being made to raise money to help combat the spread of Ebola and is now available for purchase on iTunes.

One Direction, Coldplay’s Chris Martin, Queen’s Roger Taylor, Ed Sheeran and even U2 singer Bono returned for the new Band Aid track, 30 years after Bob Geldof’s original.

Outside the recording studio, Bob Geldof told the media: “Buy this thing. Don’t go looking for it free.”

The assorted stars and celebs recorded a new version of ‘Do They Know It’s Christmas’, which features new lyrics, such as “Well tonight we’re reaching out and touching you” to replace Bono’s original infamous line “Well tonight thank god it’s them instead of you.”

The physical release of the song is December 8.
