Eagles Of Death Metal Joining U2 On Stage In Paris, Resume European Tour
Eagles Of Death Metal will join U2 on stage tomorrow night (Dec 6) during the last song of U2’s concert at the AccorHotels Arena in Paris.
EODM co-founder Josh Homme, who was not touring with the band at the time of last month’s terrorist attack in Paris, will also make an appearance with U2.
As you know, Eagles Of Death Metal were about six songs into their set before gunfire broke out at the Bataclan venue. They stopped their tour… and are now planning to resume their European tour in February 2016.
Eagles of Death Metal recently vowed to be the first band to return to Bataclan when it reopens. Co-founder Jesse Hughes said in an interview: “I cannot wait to get back to Paris… Our friends went there to see rock ‘n’ roll and died. I’m going to go back there and live.”
More than 129 people were killed in seven coordinated terrorist attacks in the French capital on November 13.
The greatest number of deaths took place at the Bataclan, where terrorists killed 89 people.
The attacks in Paris led to a military response by France against the radical Islamic organization ISIS, as French jets bombed a series of targets in Syria.
The attacks have stepped up worldwide concern over ISIS, as well as a debate in the U.S. over whether to accept Syrian refugees.
