DUSTIN DIAMOND CHARGED WITH FELONY FOLLOWING STABBING INCIDENT
Saved By The Bell star Dustin Diamond, who played Screech, spent the weekend in a Wisconsin jail following a stabbing incident that took place early Friday morning, December 26th.
Diamond was being held on $10,000 bail after he was charged with felony second-degree recklessly endangering safety, disorderly conduct and carrying a concealed weapon.
According to published reports, Diamond and his live in girlfriend, Amanda Shultz, were bar hopping in Port Washington, Wisconsin when they go into a dispute with two men and a woman. Shultz allegedly was bloodied after getting into a fight with the woman and that’s when a melee broke out. People were allegedly grabbing at Diamond when the stabbing occurred.
Diamond and Shultz left the scene before the authorities arrived which is when one of the victims noticed a half inch puncture mark in his right armpit. Authorities caught up to Diamond’s SUV and recovered 3.75 inch switchblade which still had blood on the tip.
- Diamond gave conflicting explanations of what transpired and was taken into custody. Shultz was charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct. Diamond is due back in court on Monday, December 29th.
