Dave Grohl on Royal Blood’s debut album: ‘so encouraging’
Foo Fighters’ singer Dave Grohl has called Royal Blood’s rise to the top of the UK album charts as ‘so encouraging’.
Royal Blood’s self-titled debut came out in August 2014 and went straight to #1 … and is the highest-selling UK rock debut since Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds’ release in 2011.
Speaking to NME, Foo Fighters’ Grohl talks about watching footage of Royal Blood playing at this year’s Glastonbury festival:
“I saw some live footage of them, and I was so excited to see a band that was heavy, had riffs, had songs, and could really perform, and an audience that was genuinely excited to watch them play,” said Grohl.
Foo Fighters have been making waves lately… and are favourites to headline next year’s Glastonbury Festival… after Grohl said that he is interested in the slot.
