CHRIS PRATT WASN’T EXPECTING ‘GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY’ TO SUCCEED

Chris Pratt admits in the new issue of The Hollywood Reporter that he didn’t think Guardians of the Galaxy was going to do well.

He explains, “Every rule said, ‘You don’t make a movie with a talking tree.’ ‘You don’t spend this much money on a raccoon with a gun.’ For me, I was like, ‘Oh, so this movie is going to bomb. Done. This is the end of my career.'”

Guardians is the highest-grossing movie of the year after taking in nearly $400,000,000 in the U.S. alone.
