September 20, 2015

Alexisonfire confirmed that they’ll continue as a band after this summer’s reunion shows.

Alexis played their last gigs in 2012 after announcing their split in 2011, reunited for a series of live dates earlier this year.

The band made the announcement about the plans to continue to fans while performing at Riot Fest in Toronto, Canada yesterday (September 19). Watch what Wade said below:

They broke up when Dallas Green and Wade MacNeil decided to quit the band. Green left to work on City And Colour, while MacNeil replaced Frank Carter as the frontman of Gallows. The split was described as “not amicable” by screamer George Pettit.

The band released their self-titled debut album in 2002 and went on to release three more studio LPs – ‘Watch Out!’, ‘Crisis’ and their final LP, 2009’s ‘Old Crows/Young Cardinals’.
