Adele bans Donald Trump from using her music in campaign
Rumour has it — Adele has denied US Presidential hopeful Donald Trump the use of her music at political rallies, with a statement saying that she does not back his campaign.
Trump has played Adele’s ‘Rolling In The Deep’ at various rallies — and it was reported in November that Trump played ‘Skyfall’ at a rally in Ohio.
Approached by The Independent, a spokesperson for the singer has said: “Adele has not given permission for her music to be used for any political campaigning”.
A number of singers have previously objected to Trump using their music at campaign rallies, including Neil Young and Aerosmith.
R.E.M. singer Michael Stipe said: “Go fuck yourselves, the lot of you – you sad, attention-grabbing, power-hungry little men. Do not use our music or my voice for your moronic charade of a campaign.”
Rapper Azealia Banks recently said she’s voting for him because he is “evil, like America”.
“I only trust this country to be what it is: full of shit,” she continued. “Takes shit to know shit so we may as well, put a piece of shit in the White House”.
