AC/DC, JACK WHITE TO HEADLINE COACHELLA FESTIVAL
AC/DC, Jack White & Drake will headline the 2015 Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival. The lineup was revealed on Tuesday (January 6th), following weeks of speculation that AC/DC would top the bill. The festival will take place on the weekends of April 10th to the 12th and April 17th to the 19th at the Empire Polo Grounds in Indio, California.
AC/DC will headline on the 10th and 17th, with Jack White closing the show on the 11th and 18th. Other acts on the bill include Hozier, Interpol, Alt-J, Milky Chance,Florence And The Machine, Ryan Adams, St. Vincent, Steely Dan, Fitz & The Tantrums, Brand New, David Guetta and many more.
- The festival will be AC/DC’s first confirmed North American live date in support of its new album, Rock Or Bust. The band is expected to return in the fall for a full North American tour.
- Festival passes for both weekends go on sale Wednesday (January 7th) at 3:00 p.m. ET. General-admission festival passes must be purchased as a shuttle combination for both weekends. The prices reflect all fees included.
- The Coachella Festival was founded in 1999 as a two-day event, expanding to a third day in 2007 and a second full weekend in 2012.
- Last year’s event, which starred Muse, Lorde, Bastille, Outkast and many others, tallied an attendance of 579,000 and grossed a record-breaking $78.3 million.
