A-ROD APOLOGIZES TO YANKEES
After a season-long suspension from baseball last year for using performance-enhancing drugs, Alex Rodriguez is set to return to the New York Yankees this season.
But first, he was at Yankee Stadium yesterday (February 10th), where he apologized to Yankees owner Hal Steinbrenner and team executives for his suspension and for the hostile way in which he tried to defend himself, including suing Major League Baseball and a Yankees’ team doctor, and questioning the Yankees’ integrity.
ESPN reported that Rodriguez was told he’d have to make up for his behavior.
The 39-year-old Rodriguez, who’s also apologized to baseball commissioner Rob Manfred, has three years remaining on his Yankees contract.
